  • Are you passionate about tourism and local business? Get involved in a Chamber Committee.

    Standing and special committees are composed of members of the Chamber. They are established by and report to the Board of Directors. Their purpose is to assist with chamber business and projects, and to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding such business and projects. The committees are chaired or co-chaired by at least one member of the Board of Directors. Non-members may serve on committees at the discretion of the Committee chair.

    Spirit of San Pedro Holiday Parade
     

  • Economic Development & PolicyMeets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 am to develop the Chamber's legislative platform and makes recommendations on local, state, and federal legislation.  The committee reviews economic development projects and initiatives and provides input to project developers and the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.  The committee is chaired by Lee Williams of The Williams Group at Keller Williams and Anthony Luna of Coastline Equity.  If you are interested in having the committee review an item or would like to out more about this committee, please email Elise Swanson at eswanson@sanpedrochamber.com.

    Events and Marketing CommitteeThe Events and Marketing Committee meets as needed to plan and execute events that meet the needs of our membership.  Past events the committee has planned are:  The State of the County with Supervisor Hahn, The State of the District with Councilman Joe Buscaino, Women's History Month Reception, the Annual Luncheon and Business Awards and various networking mixers and educations programs.  The committee is chaired by John Bagakis of Big Nick's Pizza and meets as needed.  The committee also oversees the Spirit of San Pedro Holiday Parade which takes place the first Sunday of every December from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in downtown San Pedro.  The parade draws over 9,000 people and includes, marching bands, equestrians units, dancers, floats, local celebrities and elected officials.  If you are interested in joining or finding out more about this committee, please email Elise Swanson at eswanson@sanpedrochamber.com.  

    Quality of Life Committee:  The Quality of Life Committee meets to discuss issues of concern brought to the Chamber leadership.  This issues have included crime prevention, homelessness and healthcare.  The committee is chaired by Denise Eastburn of Providence LCM, San Pedro.  For more information, email eswanson@sanpedrochamber.com

    The Non-Profit Collaborative:  The collaborative is a quarterly event bringing together the leadership of our nonprofit to discuss best practices in the area of fundraising, communication, and human resources.  It also provides a networking opportunity.  To be added to the invitation list, please email Elise Swanson at eswanson@sanpedrochamber.com.
