July's Family Art Workshop: Seed Ball Making!

Join us for July's Family Art Workshop at Angels Gate Cultural Center! This month we will learn to build our own seed balls to plant at home or on site. Together, participants will use clay, soil, california wildflower seeds, and clay tools to create seed balls. This project is perfect for people of all ages to connect with plant relatives and learn about time tested ways of planting seeds.

Since the beginning of living history, seeds (apart from the wind and water) have found a way to move themselves using the bodies of all beings. Inspired by this method, seedballs, seed bombs, aka earthballs are an ancient agricultural technology that many civilians have adapted and improved over time.

This is an opportunity to be inspired by seeds and to take a little earth with you.

It's Family Art Workshop with Angels Gate Cultural Center! Angels Gate offers monthly free art workshops. All are welcome. Art activities for kids and adults, ages 1 to 101! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pets are not allowed inside our galleries or classrooms.
