Los Angeles Maritime Institute (LAMI) Recruitment Open House

The Los Angeles Maritime Institute (LAMI) invites you to join us for a Recruitment Open House on one of two days – Wednesday, August 23 or Saturday, August 26. Stop by between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. either day to learn more about LAMI, our tall ships and the various career paths. You will also have an opportunity to meet current staff and crew, tour the ships and the workshop in historic Building G, and participate in on-site interviews. Plus, you can sign up to volunteer, and refreshments will be served. We are looking to fill various roles, including Captains (100t), Mates (100t), Deckhand/Educator Interns, Project Managers, Bosons and more to support our non-profit organization that use the experience of sailing on tall ships to teach local youth about themselves and the world around them. The event is taking place at our San Pedro headquarters on South Harbor Blvd., which is in the midst of the construction for West Harbor (formerly Ports O’ Call Village). We encourage you to search your map app for “Los Angeles Maritime Institute” in San Pedro. Heading south on Harbor Blvd. along the water, you can find us by turning left into the second parking lot entrance after the split at Miner St. Follow the fence line and look for their banner on Building G.
