Magenta Foiling Meet and Greet!
This evening will celebrate the Magenta Foiling Project, an initiative focused on promoting gender equality and empowering women in sailing, particularly in the high-performance world of foiling. The project is part of The Magenta Project, a global organization dedicated to increasing women's visibility and participation in professional sailing through mentorship, training, and leadership opportunities.
The first ever Magenta Foiling WASZP Clinic in the United States on November 2-3, 2024, and we are honored to have an exceptional panel of athletes joining us for the Meet and Greet, sharing insights on the future of female foiling pathways:
Special Guests:
Daniela Moroz: A 6x World Champion in Formula Kite and 4x US Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year. Daniela is a global icon in the sport, having recently won gold at the 2023 Pan American Games and represented the U.S. at the 2024 Olympics, and training for SailGP USA Team.
Phoebe Chalmers: A rising star in foiling, representing Canada in international competitions. She placed 6th at the 2024 Canadian WASZP Championships and 9th at the WASZP North Americans, with eyes set on the 2025 WASZP World Championships.
Pearl Lattanzi: A talented WASZP coach and sailor, Pearl is a member of the American Magic Women's Development Team and is currently training with America One Racing for the 2025 WASZP World Championships.
This event marks the first women’s foiling clinic in the U.S, and all proceeds will support future female foiling initiatives across the country. We would love for you and your community to join us for an inspiring evening as we support the development of women in sailing and lead our country into the future of sailing.
