Join us for Echoes of Light: Ancestral Narratives in Cyanotype, an interactive workshop that bridges history, memory, and creativity. Inspired by the Black in Place exhibition, participants will reflect on ancestral stories and translate them into visual narratives using the cyanotype process. Through poetry, short stories, and family trees, we will honor the past while creating luminous blueprints of our heritage. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your stories and an open heart. 

Únase a nosotros en Ecos de luz: Narrativas ancestrales en cianotipia, un taller interactivo que tiende puentes entre la historia, la memoria y la creatividad. Inspirado en la exposición Black in Place, los participantes reflexionarán sobre historias ancestrales y las traducirán en narraciones visuales utilizando el proceso de la cianotipia. A través de la poesía, relatos cortos y árboles genealógicos, honraremos el pasado mientras creamos planos luminosos de nuestra herencia. No es necesario tener experiencia previa, sólo traer sus historias y un corazón abierto.

This workshop is fun for all ages!!

Meet your teacher in Building A's Gallery and we will walk over to our classroom in Building G.

All materials are provided. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Pets are not allowed inside our galleries or classrooms.
